Thomas McInerney
Tom hails from Kingston upon Thames. He picked up Spanish classical guitar at the age of 10 and started to write songs with his brother James. In 2009 He travelled across China on sleeper trains and coaches with his old tank of a guitar ‘Lola’ that had previously kept him company in the myriad tunnels of the London Underground. 26 years on, those two brothers crossed the Mississippi in Memphis without even realising, with a Mandolin they bought from one of Dolly Parton’s band members. It certainly wasn’t the first river that had eluded him on a journey, but it might be the deepest. It was time to start writing again, and singing. Tom returns to Deal for this gig on New Year’s Eve. A town where his first son was born and where so many of his  friends live.
